dsh-skill-center: A Central Skill Management Panel for DeepSeek Harness
restregular/dsh-skill-center
A Skill Center panel for DeepSeek Harness that lets you browse session-visible skills, read SKILL.md, toggle invocation switches, and create or delete skills.
dsh-skill-center is a DSH plugin that gathers every skill visible to the current session into a single management surface inside DeepSeek Harness. It targets the pain of skills scattered across roots and invocation policy that otherwise requires hand-editing frontmatter. Core capabilities include searching by name or description, filtering by provider source, rendering skill bodies directly in the panel, flipping model-invocation and user-invocation switches that are written back to frontmatter on save, plus creating skills and moving deletions into a recoverable trash. Skills embedded in plugins are marked read-only to prevent accidental edits.

What Does It Do?
Skill Center is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that gathers every skill visible to the current session into one panel for browsing and management. It solves the friction of hunting down skills across roots and hand-editing frontmatter just to change invocation policy, letting you read skill bodies, flip switches, create and delete skills without leaving the app. Maintained by RestRegular under the MIT license, it uses the same lightning mark for its sidebar row and plugin card.
Core Features
- Skill browsing: lists every skill in the current session scope, including skills embedded in plugins, with provider, source root and invocation policy.
- Body reading: renders the raw SKILL.md Markdown inside the panel, so no separate resource pane is needed.
- Invocation switches: flips the model-invocation and user-invocation toggles locally with instant feedback, writes them into frontmatter on save, and the host pushes the refreshed catalog to the model.
- Create and delete: creates skills under the user skills root and moves deleted ones to a recoverable trash instead of hard-deleting them.
- Read-only guard: skills embedded in plugins are labelled embedded, with their switches and deletion disabled.
- Model tool: registers a skill-creation tool that writes a skill file plus its resource files in one call, which works for skill roots outside the session workspace.
How to Use This Plugin?
After enabling it in DSH, a Skill Center entry appears in the sidebar; open it to see the skills visible to the current session. Search by name or description, filter by provider source, then open a skill to read its body and toggle invocation switches, saving from the button next to the back-to-session action. New skills are created from the panel, and deleted ones land in the trash, where the toolbar lets you restore or permanently clear them. A bundled skill-authoring skill teaches the agent which root a skill belongs in and how its frontmatter contract works.
How to Troubleshoot This Plugin?
The panel shows no success toasts: saves, creations, deletions and restores are confirmed by the state change itself, and only failures appear as a red bar with a retry button, so a red bar means that operation did not take effect. If a switch or delete action is greyed out, the skill is embedded in a plugin and protected as read-only, so handle it in that plugin instead.
