Completes archived-session management for DeepSeek Harness: a full-page browser with search, restore, recycle bin and permanent delete, plus an Agent-callable tool.

dsh-archive-desk is an archived-conversation workspace for DeepSeek Harness that fixes the native gap where archiving only hides session ids while logs stay on disk with no delete entry. It gathers archived sessions into a full management page showing title, summary, project, size, and status, with search, sorting, pagination, and batch actions. Deletions go to a recycle bin and can be restored, permanent removal needs explicit confirmation, and a transactional flow leaves an explainable state if any step fails. The same capabilities are exposed as an Agent tool for listing, unarchiving, deleting, and restoring sessions.

What Does It Do?

Archive Desk is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that completes the half-finished archiving story in DSH: archived conversations become visible, restorable, and deletable. DSH natively only hides session ids in the workspace config while logs stay on disk, with no delete entry in the UI; this plugin adds a full management page, a recycle bin, and transactional deletion, and exposes the same capabilities to Agents. It is maintained by LumiDesk under the MIT license and written in TypeScript.

Core Features

  • Archive list with status detection: a full page shows title, summary, project, time, size, and status, distinguishing running, open, invalid, and normal sessions so active conversations are never mistaken for deletable ones.
  • Search, sorting, and pagination: filter by title, summary, project, cwd, or id; sort by recent activity, size, title, or archive order; 10/20/50 per page with automatic page correction after deletion.
  • Batch actions and unarchive: multi-select, select the current page, or select all filtered results for batch delete or unarchive; unarchiving only edits the archive set without moving files, and the sidebar row returns to its original project.
  • Recycle bin with confirmation: deletion moves items to the trash by default and can be restored; permanent deletion requires an explicit switch plus an irreversible-action checkbox, and the trash supports paging, batch restore, permanent delete, and empty.
  • Transactional deletion flow: directories are moved, projection caches cleared, workspace membership removed, archive ids dropped, and a removal event emitted in a fixed order, leaving an explainable state if any step fails, while the attachments directory is never touched.
  • Agent tool: an archived-conversations tool supports list, unarchive, delete-to-trash, trash, and restore, letting Agents manage archives too.

How to Use This Plugin?

After enabling it in DSH, an Archive Desk icon appears in the sidebar; click it to open the management page, where the Archived tab lists all archived sessions and the Recycle Bin tab holds items awaiting cleanup. Select sessions, click Delete, choose Move to Recycle Bin or Delete Permanently, and confirm; archived sessions also get a Delete entry in their "…" menu that jumps to the page and opens the same confirmation dialog. A top banner reports how many references are stale (logs deleted but archive ids remain) and offers a one-click cleanup. The list shows a skeleton on first load, keeps old data while refreshing, and cancels stale requests during fast searches.

How to Troubleshoot This Plugin?

  • An archived session shows as invalid: the archive id exists but the session directory is gone, so only the archive reference can be removed, not files; use the one-click cleanup in the top banner.
  • A session shows as open and cannot be deleted: it is still open in the main panel, so switch to another session first.
  • The sidebar row does not disappear after deletion: check whether the deletion flow completed, since the plugin emits a removal event in its final step to hide the row immediately.
  • The UI does not appear after installing from a local directory: build first as the official instructions require, since build output is not committed.
