ultra-documents: A Comment-and-Revise Document Workflow in DeepSeek Harness
libraqg/ultra-documents
Artifacts-like documents for DeepSeek Harness: comment on them, send comments back to the AI for a new version, edit directly, with every change saved as a version.
ultra-documents is a document-oriented DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that turns agent-written content into standalone pages you can keep refining. It addresses the gap after a report is written: documents appear as cards in the chat and open in the right sidebar, where you can select text or click a figure to comment, hand comments back to the AI for the next version, or edit text and formatting yourself. Every change becomes a new version you can switch between, all data stays local, and pages run sandboxed.

What Does It Do?
ultra-documents is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that turns AI-written content into standalone documents you can comment on, hand back to the agent, and edit yourself. It solves the problem of a report ending the moment the model finishes writing: the plugin has the agent produce a self-contained HTML page that appears as a card in the chat and opens in the DSH right sidebar. From there you can select text or click a figure to leave a comment, send those comments back for a new version in one click, or edit the text and formatting directly. Every change becomes a new version you can switch between, and everything stays on your machine.
Core Features
- Document cards and sidebar rendering: agent-written self-contained HTML documents show up as cards in the conversation and open in the DSH right sidebar, with full-screen support.
- Commenting: comment mode is on by default, so you can select any text or click a figure or table to leave a comment; switch to read mode to interact with the page normally.
- One-click send to AI: pressing Send to AI hands the open comments to the agent, which writes the next version and answers each comment.
- Direct editing and versioning: change text and formatting on the latest version, save to create a new version, and switch between versions at any time.
- Local storage and sandbox isolation: documents live in a hidden workspace directory that is git-ignored, and pages run in a sandboxed iframe without same-origin access, so their scripts cannot reach the DSH page, its cookies or your files.
- Agent tools and a skill: four tools cover creating, revising, reading comments and listing documents, paired with a skill that explains when to use them and how to write the HTML.
How to Use This Plugin?
After enabling it in DSH, start a new session and simply ask the agent for a document, for example a two-day Hangzhou itinerary with a schedule table. The document appears as a card in the chat; click it to open it in the sidebar, select text or click a figure to comment, then press Send to AI to get the next version and expand handled comments to read the AI's reply on each one. To make changes yourself, press Edit on the latest version, adjust text and formatting, then save as a new version. Start a new session for each document, since a long session carries a lot of context into every revision; documents that run their own scripts can be commented on but not edited directly. Maintained by Libraqg under the AGPL-3.0 license, it requires a recent DSH release with its web interface.
How to Troubleshoot This Plugin?
If a document cannot be edited directly, first check whether it runs its own scripts: such documents support commenting but not direct editing, which is a known limitation. Opening the same session in two DSH processes at once can also cause problems, so avoid duplicate opens as described in the official documentation.
