dsh-ima: A DSH plugin that connects Tencent ima knowledge bases to DeepSeek Harness
ikevss/dsh-ima
Connects Tencent ima knowledge bases to DeepSeek Harness: browse and preview files in the sidebar while the agent automatically searches and reads them.
dsh-ima is a DSH plugin that brings Tencent ima knowledge bases into DeepSeek Harness. It addresses the gap where material stays inside ima and the conversational agent cannot see it, forcing manual copy-paste each time. After enabling, a knowledge-base entry appears in the sidebar where you can filter by all, shared, or personal and browse folders level by level, previewing PDF, Word, Excel, PPT, images, audio/video, Markdown, and XMind files right in the panel. The model receives a knowledge-base inventory at the start of every turn, and five agent tools support full-text content search plus one-click handoff of a file to the agent.

What Does It Do?
It is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that connects Tencent ima knowledge bases to the harness, letting you browse libraries and files in the sidebar while the AI agent automatically searches and reads their contents. It solves the problem of material sitting in ima where the conversational agent cannot see it, forcing manual copy-paste every time. Once enabled, the model sees a knowledge-base inventory at the start of each turn and can look things up on its own.
Core Features
- One-click binding: opens the browser for ima login and handles the rest automatically, with no credential copy-paste; it falls back to a manual form when Chrome or Edge is unavailable.
- Sidebar library browsing: filter by all, shared, or personal, navigate multi-level folders with breadcrumbs, and use collapsible personal/shared groups that match ima.
- Multi-format preview: view PDF, Word, Excel, PPT, images, audio/video, Markdown, and XMind files inside the panel, and open web pages or WeChat articles in a new window.
- Note layout restoration: since the ima API returns flattened plain text, the plugin rebuilds paragraphs from punctuation, numbering, and speaker-plus-timestamp anchors, with an original-text toggle for comparison.
- Agent tools and context injection: five tools including full-text content search, plus an automatic knowledge-base inventory in context each turn and one-click handoff of a file to the agent.
How to Use This Plugin?
After enabling it in DSH, a knowledge-base entry appears in the sidebar; on first use, click one-click binding and log in to ima in the browser window that opens. You can then browse folders, preview files, or use the quote-to-conversation action to hand a file to the agent. When you cannot recall a file name, just ask whether your material mentions a topic and the agent searches by content. Maintained by ikevss under the MIT license, it targets DeepSeek Harness 0.2.0-rc.1 and Node.js 18 or newer, runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and cannot read subscription-based libraries because ima does not expose them.
How to Troubleshoot This Plugin?
If the plugin does not take effect after installation, first check that your DSH version is within the 0.2.x range and report the version number when filing an issue after an upgrade. If binding fails, verify that Chrome or Edge is installed; without a browser the plugin degrades to a manual form, so follow the on-screen steps. If installation reports Permission denied (publickey), the address used was the SSH form, so reinstall using the HTTPS or tarball form described in the README.
