A persona library plugin for DeepSeek Harness: ships built-in personas, lets you import your own, and switches the active persona from the settings page without restarting, injecting it into every session's system prompt in that profile.

dsh-persona-dafeiyu is a DSH plugin that turns personas into a switchable capability: once installed into a profile, every session under it gets the currently selected persona injected into its system prompt, so you never paste prompts by hand again. It ships with the hard-coded Dafeiyu and Acha personas and also lets you import your own from Markdown, plain-text files or pasted text, then view, switch, enable, rename or delete them from the settings page. The persona paragraph text is a dynamic function, so a switch takes effect on the next request without a restart, and the library persists as JSON under the DSH storage directory, falling back to an empty library if corrupted.

What Does It Do?

Dafeiyu Persona Library is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that turns system-prompt personas into a switchable plugin capability. Once installed into a profile, every session under that profile gets the currently selected persona injected into its system prompt, so you no longer paste prompts by hand. It ships with the built-in Dafeiyu and Acha personas, lets you import your own from a file or pasted text, and manages them from a settings section. It is maintained by huaizhuanghub under the MIT license and was last updated on 2026-10-07.

Core Features

  • Built-in personas: Dafeiyu and Acha are hard-coded, cannot be deleted or overwritten, and only show a short summary in the UI.
  • Persona import: pick a Markdown or plain-text file, or paste the prompt text directly, and a selectable entry is generated automatically.
  • Restart-free switching: the persona paragraph text is a dynamic function re-evaluated on every prompt assembly, so a switch takes effect on the next request.
  • On-demand body delivery: the status endpoint returns metadata only, and the full text of a persona is fetched only when you click to view it.
  • Local persistence: the persona library lives in a JSON file under the DSH storage directory, written via temp-file rename and falling back to an empty library if the file is corrupted.
  • Optional configuration: fields such as enabled, prefix, personaFile and suffix control the master switch and custom persona sources.

How to Use This Plugin?

After enabling it in DSH, open the persona section on the settings page to manage everything. Each list entry shows its name, source badge and character count; clicking set-as-current also enables it and starts injection. Disabling the current persona stops any persona paragraph from being injected, and deleting the current one falls back to Dafeiyu. To import, choose a .md, .markdown or .txt file, or paste the prompt into the text box and confirm; imported personas can be expanded to read the full prompt, renamed, or deleted after a second confirmation. Persona names must be non-empty, at most 60 characters and unique, and the body is capped at 64,000 characters. To use an external file or a fixed prefix as a persona, fill in the matching config fields and it appears in the list as a config persona.

How to Troubleshoot This Plugin?

The API accepts loopback requests only: non-local access returns 403, a wrong method returns 405, and a body that is not valid JSON returns 400. When an operation is rejected the HTTP status is still 200 and the error semantics live in the error field of the response body, so fix the action according to that message. If the persona library file is corrupted, the plugin falls back to an empty library instead of crashing, and re-importing the personas restores it. When installed from a local source directory, the plugin points at that directory, so deleting it breaks the plugin after a restart; follow the official instructions and install from the packaged artifact instead.
