dsh-archive-manager: An Archived Session Manager for DeepSeek Harness
gsnowdrift/dsh-archive-manager
Adds an archived-session management center to DeepSeek Harness: browse archived sessions by date or workspace, unarchive in bulk, and run a reversible auto-cleanup policy.
dsh-archive-manager is a DSH plugin that fills the archived-session gap in the DeepSeek Harness sidebar. The native interface offers only a show-or-hide toggle, so an archived session is neither visible nor recoverable; this plugin adds an Archive Sessions section to Settings where you can browse history by archive day, workspace, title, and path, then select rows and unarchive them in bulk back to their original workspace positions. It also ships three combinable policies that auto-archive idle sessions, unarchive expired ones, and unarchive the oldest when the count exceeds a cap, with plan preview and immediate execution, always skipping running sessions and never physically deleting logs.

What Does It Do?
Archive Manager is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that adds the archived-session management surface the harness lacks. The native Sessions sidebar only offers a show/hide toggle for archived sessions, so once a session is archived it is neither visible nor recoverable; this plugin adds an Archive Sessions section to Settings where you can browse archived sessions by date, workspace, and title, unarchive them in bulk, and run a reversible auto-cleanup policy. It is maintained by gsnowdrift under the MIT license and targets the DSH 0.2.x web and desktop clients.
Core Features
- Archived session list with filters: shows title, workspace, path, archive time, last activity, source (manual or automatic), and run status, with a per-day archive dropdown, search across title/path/session ID, workspace filtering, a subagent toggle, and 25 items per page with page numbers and totals.
- Bulk unarchive: select multiple rows and restore them in one action, returning each session to its original position in its original workspace; single-row unarchive is also available.
- Reversible auto-cleanup: three combinable policies auto-archive idle sessions, unarchive sessions archived longer than a threshold, and unarchive the oldest when the archive count exceeds a cap, with plan preview and immediate execution; running sessions are always skipped.
- Persistent settings: the cleanup policy lives in the plugin's own storage domain and survives restarts.
- Explicit deletion only: session logs on disk are removed only when you click delete and confirm twice; auto-cleanup never physically deletes anything.
- No network or credentials: the plugin makes no network requests, collects no telemetry, and reads or writes no secrets, touching only the archive set and its own storage file.
How to Use This Plugin?
After enabling it in DSH, open Settings from the sidebar gear and click Archive Sessions in the left column. Pick an archive day from the top dropdown, or narrow results with search and workspace filters; titles that have not finished folding show the session ID first and are replaced automatically after a few seconds. Select several rows and click Unarchive N items to send them back to their original workspace positions. In the Auto Cleanup card below, adjust the policies, save the settings, then use Preview Plan to inspect the actions before clicking Run Now. Note that the archive set itself stores no archive time, so sessions archived before the plugin first started fall back to the session header creation time, and sessions with only control events can only display their ID.
