Bundles mattpocock/skills' 25 engineering skills into DeepSeek Harness and turns GitHub issues into a filterable, actionable task board in the right sidebar, filling prompts into the input box with one click.

dsh-mattpocock-skills-deck brings the 25 engineering and productivity skills from mattpocock/skills into the DeepSeek Harness right sidebar as a task board where you can read state and dispatch work directly. It addresses the problem of installed skills being invisible and task progress being buried in the terminal: tasks are grouped into claimable, blocked, and closed, row buttons fill prepared instructions into the input box, and issue descriptions and comments are laid out in the panel for direct replies. Maintained by FeatherHunter under the MIT license, it primarily supports GitHub issues, with Markdown as a preview backend and GitLab not yet supported.

What Does It Do?

MattSkillsDeck is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that turns the 25 engineering and productivity skills from mattpocock/skills into a visible, dispatchable task board inside the DSH right sidebar. It solves the problem of skills being installed but invisible and of task progress being buried in the terminal, letting you read task state and dispatch work straight from the panel. The plugin is maintained by FeatherHunter under the MIT license, with GitHub issues as the primary backend, Markdown as a preview backend, and GitLab not yet supported.

Core Features

  • Task board list: groups repository tasks into claimable, blocked, and closed, with each row's button acting as an action entry that fills a prepared instruction into the input box; map-type rows always stay pinned on top.
  • Bottom capsule status bar: sits under every session input box and shows claimable count, bug count, diagnosis, distillation, handoff, and environment progress; clicking a main segment jumps to the matching panel page.
  • Issue detail and comments: description, labels, assignee, and comments are laid out inside the panel, and you can reply directly from the bottom input box, with sessions shown by label such as diagnosis, fix, discussion, or execution.
  • New session handoff: one click at the top of the detail page starts a clean session with an auto-generated title and a pre-filled handoff instruction, leaving the current session undisturbed.
  • Skill shortcuts: the bundled 25 skills (snapshot v1.2.3) work right after install, with general recommendations at the top of the skills page and one-line Chinese descriptions; clicking load fills the slash command into the input box.
  • Multi-backend switching: the settings page lists GitHub, local Markdown, GitLab, and a no-backend escape hatch; switching only changes the data source, and the previous backend's data is preserved.

How to Use This Plugin?

Once enabled in DSH, the panel opens in the right sidebar with a list on the left and details on the right, so no extra plugin is needed. In daily use, filter tasks by state on the board, click a row button to fill the instruction into the input box, and send it after confirming; open any task to read its description and comments and reply from the bottom input box, or click the new session button at the top of the detail page when you want a clean session. To change data sources, use the backend selector on the settings page and switch runways; switching back makes the original data visible again. The skills page shows general recommendations at the top (default /ask-matt) and one line per skill explaining its Chinese purpose, and clicking load fills the slash command into the input box.

How to Troubleshoot This Plugin?

Still on an old version after updating: this comes from the pnpm supply-chain policy (minimumReleaseAge) on DSH desktop, where a freshly published version is silently skipped by the update operation and the marketplace update button for a few hours; after updating, fully quit DSH and reopen it, press Ctrl+F5 to refresh the page, and if it is still not updated, install once explicitly against the official registry as described in the official instructions. Update fails with No matching version and the error address is a mirror registry: this means the mirror has not synced the new version yet and the package itself was not missed, so waiting for the mirror to sync resolves it; if you need it urgently, install once explicitly against the official registry as described in the official instructions, and do not drop the trailing registry argument or it will fall back to the mirror.
