A DSH plugin that loads every skill from the user's ~/.cc-switch/skills directory into DeepSeek Harness at startup and live-refreshes the catalog on adds, renames, and deletes.

dsh-cc-switch-skills is a DSH plugin that wires the cc-switch skills directory into DeepSeek Harness. It closes the gap between the two: skills kept by cc-switch were unreachable from the harness skill tool, and now they are registered into the session catalog at startup with no manual copying or rewriting. It accepts both SKILL.md bundles and flat .md files, parses YAML frontmatter to control visibility, reads bodies lazily so edits apply at once, and watches the directory recursively for changes.

What Does It Do?

cc-switch skills is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that loads every skill stored in the current user's cc-switch skills directory into DSH at startup. It solves the gap between cc-switch and the harness: skills kept by cc-switch were previously unreachable from DSH's skill tool, and now they are registered without any manual copying or rewriting. Maintained by artorias-zj under the MIT license and written in JavaScript, it sits in the Skills & Agents category.

Core Features

  • Loaded at startup: the plugin mounts with DSH, scans the skills root once, and registers every skill it finds.
  • Two skill shapes: directory bundles containing a SKILL.md, plus flat .md files one level deep.
  • YAML frontmatter parsing: reads required fields such as name and description along with optional whenToUse, metadata, disable-model-invocation, and user-invocable, using those flags to control model and user visibility.
  • Lazy body loading: the catalog carries metadata only, and each skill call re-reads the current file so edits to SKILL.md take effect immediately.
  • Live refresh: the root is watched recursively, so adds, renames, deletes, and frontmatter edits land on the next catalog refresh, and a missing root is probed until it appears.
  • Resource base: resourceBase points at each skill directory so the model can resolve scripts, references, and assets paths correctly.

How to Use This Plugin?

Once enabled in DSH, the skills show up in the session skill catalog and can be invoked through the skill tool without a restart. The default root is the .cc-switch/skills folder under the user's home directory; you can change it with the dir config field or an environment variable. providerName sets the provider name registered into the skills registry, rank controls precedence on name clashes (default 300, lower wins), and watch toggles directory watching. Compared with the official provider, it tolerates incomplete frontmatter: a missing or non-kebab-case name falls back to the directory or file name, and a missing description falls back to the first non-empty body line, with warnings written to the DSH log.

How to Troubleshoot This Plugin?

If a skill never appears in the catalog, first confirm the skills root exists and the path is spelled correctly, since the plugin probes for a missing root but will not create it. Skipped skills usually mean invalid or missing frontmatter, or an illegal boolean value such as user-invocable, and these cases are logged as warnings, so fix the SKILL.md frontmatter as documented. When two skills share a name, check the rank setting: the lower value wins, and project-level skills take precedence over user-level ones.
