Adds an MV screening-room sidebar to DeepSeek Harness that plays lyric-synced ASCII, Canvas2D and WebGL2 music-video scenes clocked to your own audio or video.

dsh-mv-cli is a DSH plugin that adds a terminal-styled screening area to the DeepSeek Harness workbench for playing music videos synced to your own audio or video. It gathers lyrics, ASCII, Canvas2D and WebGL2 3D scenes into one screening room, where script scenes use your chosen audio as the clock and local videos keep their own media clock. MV packs are described by mv.json and can be filtered and installed from the workshop by type, licence, tag, lyrics and compatibility, while a Harness Agent session can help author new packs. The plugin code is MIT-licensed and maintained as an unofficial fan work.

What Does It Do?

MV Screening Room is a DSH plugin for DeepSeek Harness that adds a terminal-styled screening area to the workbench for playing music videos synced to your own audio or video. It solves the problem of building visuals for a song without juggling separate tools: script scenes use your chosen audio as the clock, while local videos keep their own media clock. Visuals cover lyrics, ASCII, Canvas2D and WebGL2 3D scenes, maintained by Alice-Marx as an unofficial fan work with MIT-licensed plugin code.

Core Features

  • Multiple renderers: the same MV can switch between ASCII, pixel 2D, WebGL2 3D and local video renderers, with unsupported clients falling back to a generic renderer.
  • Audio-driven timeline: script scenes advance lyrics and visuals against user-supplied audio, while local videos keep their own media clock with an independent audio offset.
  • Local video import: bring existing MP4/M4V/MOV/WebM/MKV frames into the screening room with embedded or separate sound, plus seek, pause/replay, volume/mute, fullscreen and PNG snapshots.
  • MV packs and workshop: each pack is described by mv.json, and the workshop lets you filter and install packs by type, licence, tag, lyrics and compatibility.
  • Lyrics and AI authoring: optional LRCLIB lookup sends only title, artist, album and duration (never audio or filename), and a Harness Agent session can help create MV packs.

How to Use This Plugin?

After enabling it in DSH, the MV Screening Room entry appears in the sidebar; import or pick an MV pack, then point it at your own audio or local video as the time base to start playback. Tune font size, ffmpeg path, lyric lookup, proxy and workshop mirror in the DSH plugin configuration page, while local preferences live in a settings file under the user directory. To screen external animations such as Manim, first convert the rendered video into an MV pack folder with the official import tool, then import that folder.

How to Troubleshoot This Plugin?

If the plugin is disabled because of a protocol mismatch, the installed version does not match the Harness protocol; update the plugin as described in the official docs and restart Harness. When WebGL scenes fail to display, the client usually lacks Chromium Worker OffscreenCanvas or WebGL2 support, in which case it falls back to the generic renderer; local video that will not decode depends on Chromium codec support.

This page is an independent rewrite of the plugin's official README — for authoritative documentation and the latest changes, refer to the source: alice-marx/dsh-mv-cli. The plugin is third-party code that runs on your machine once installed; inclusion does not imply endorsement — please review the source before installing.
